When your dog is learning a command, ex:lay down,roll over. A lightbulb icon appears in the top right corner of the screen. Click on the light bulb and record your command. If the dog accepts the command, a sketchy like lightbulb appears over their adorable little head. Grab the lightbulb with your stylus then drag it to the dogs mouth. And they will EAT THE LIGHTBULB like a treat!Note: This was found in the Japanese version. I am not sure about the North American version.

To do this trick, make sure you have an Asscessory on you. Select which dog you want to walk with. While planning the route for the dog, go through as many[?] blocks as possible. Once you have done that, make your way to the park, then back to your house. When your dog starts the walk, when it gets to the park change the accessory it's wearing into something else. After the game finishes saving, turn off your Nintendo DS. When you reboot you will notice that you have obtained all the items you did in the walk, and you can walk again with the same dog without the wait. Do this for present abuse!

When walking your dog, if he/she comes upon a ? mark, he/she will bark once, or twice. Most of the time, one bark means a present, two barks means another dog.

Get trainer points faster by going to the screen that you brush your dog in and but the brush on you dog. You get 1 point every 1 minute! If you leave it on over night then you should turn off the music, so you dont waste the battery and plug it into the charger!

When you are out on a walk and you see blue dots, those are washroom stops for your dogs. The smaller one is poo and the bigger one is pee. So dont skip them!

When you are on a walk, and you go to a question mark, the meanest dog is Eclair, so get out of there as soon as you can and beware of Coby too! Charlie, and Buster and Logan(when you see him), are nice, and the other dogs are in between. Make sure your dogs is being nice to the other dogs and maybe they will all be nice to you!

If you don't like the dogs on any nintendo dogs game all you have to do is get more points. The points are located at go out, info, trainer info, trainer points, then look at how many points you have, the more, the more breeds of dogs.

For this to work, you have to have a good relationship one of your dogs. Keep petting him/her (or pet it while it's doing tricks alot) then a bone will appear. Drag it to the dog's mouth with your stylus(pen)and it will eat it!

When u tell youre dog a trick don't pet it even if it learns it or already knows it. don't pet it.

When you are on a walk when your dog is still walking and on the top screen it stopped it means garbage or a present is coming.

If your on the home screen for too long your dog will leave then click on the wistle button and your dog should come with a present.

When you do a contest and you want to retry so bad just turn your DS off and on before the guy tells u the scores.

Go to where you brush your dog than just leave your brush there and every real minute u should gain 1 trainer point.

Note: You should charge your DS doing this cheat because if u close your DS it won't work.

If you have 2 nintendogs games (or don't mind buying another one) You can easily do this.(NOTE: You can not keep your trainer points or dogs)First, transfer all the items you want to keep from one game to the other through bark mode. Then delete the game that you sent the items from. You now have a new game! Just send over all of the items from the game that you sent them to, to the new game. And that's how you restart you game without losing your items.
