When your amber wizard learns Tangle of Thorns, use it on an enemy regiment you want to get stuck. It'll keep them from moving, as is supposed to happen. But if you use curse on them after and remove Tangle, they still won't be able to move (like the first spell is still in effect) and you'll be able to tangle another regiment.
